Services that support our community

At Ngā Ringa Āwhina Family Health, we provide kaupapa Māori, nurse-led services designed to support the hauora of our whānau and community. Our care is holistic, mana-enhancing, and guided by our values of Pono, Tika, Mana, Aroha, Manaakitanga, Kotahitanga, and Whanaungatanga.

Long-Term Condition Management

We walk alongside whānau living with long-term conditions such as diabetes, gout, asthma, and cardiovascular health issues. Our focus is on prevention, early detection, and supporting lifestyle changes. Together we develop care plans that are practical, achievable, and whānau-centred.

Men’s Health

Regular health checks, preventative screening, and confidential support for tāne. We can help with cardiovascular health, diabetes checks, sexual health, lifestyle support, and referrals when needed. Our clinic is a safe space for tāne to kōrero about their hauora.

Women’s Health

Our wāhine-focused services include cervical screening, contraception advice and procedures, pregnancy support, and general wellbeing checks. Care is delivered with aroha and respect, supporting wāhine at every stage of life.

Sexual Health

We provide confidential and supportive sexual health services, including screening, treatment, contraception advice, and education. Our team respects your privacy and ensures that you are heard and cared for without judgement.

Jadelle Insertion

We offer long-acting contraception options such as Jadelle insertion, performed by trained nurses in a safe and supportive setting. Information, consent, and follow-up care are always provided.

Cervical Screening

Routine cervical screening is an important part of wāhine hauora. We provide a safe and respectful environment for screening, with Māori nurses who understand the importance of dignity, mana, and compassionate care.

Wound Care

Our team provides support for acute and chronic wound management, including dressings, infection monitoring, and follow-up care. We work with you to promote healing and prevent complications.

Immunisations

We provide a full range of immunisations for tamariki, rangatahi, and pakeke, including catch-up immunisations if you’ve missed doses. Our clinic ensures a calm and caring environment for tamariki, and clear information for whānau.

Well Child Checks

Our nurses provide well-child checks to monitor growth, development, and overall well being. We take a whānau approach, recognising that tamariki thrive when their whānau is supported too.

Driver’s Licence Medicals

We provide medical checks required for driver’s licence renewals or endorsements. Please bring the required forms with you, and we’ll complete the health assessment on-site.

ECGs (Electrocardiograms)

Our clinic offers ECGs to check heart rhythm and function. This test is quick, safe, and can provide important information about your heart health.

Mental Health & Wellbeing

We offer support for mental health and wellbeing that is culturally grounded and whānau-centred. Our team can kōrero with you about stress, anxiety, depression, or other challenges, and connect you with the right resources and referrals. You are not alone.
